Description
John has always held strong political views, and because they are left of centre there is a general assumption that he is something of a Commie. Having spent 35 years selling internationally, and since 2002 running his own consultancy, he really isn’t. His extensive travels and experience of working with different companies and cultures has provided a grounding that most are not fortunate enough to have, so when Cameron and Osborne inflicted their austerity package he wanted to find a way of venting a level of anger that had previously been exorcised in cartoons.
The injustices perpetrated by that administration and the lies, deception and manipulation that followed, provided more than enough ammunition for a stand against injustice, and John quickly found he had more than 30 songs of protest about one thing or another. So The Breeding Ground Of Vile could so easily have been a triple, not a double album. And the lies keep coming, and the obfuscation, illusion, and pretence continues, so the material keeps coming too. This will not be John’s last protest work, but it will probably prove to be his loudest.
